Abby Padovich - Youth Transport Associate - New Start Transports
I have been working with troubled teens for three years as a counselor and mentor. I have been a youth transport associate for New Start Transports for two years. I love working with youth and helping them work through their issues. I greatly enjoy teaching youth to realize that it is possible to live a clean, sober, and productive life. I entered this line of work after personally participating in family therapy as a teen and after experiencing the loss of someone close to me, due to drug abuse.
I feel that choosing the right transport company along with the right program and/or school is crucial in a youth's recovery. I am confident with the process and procedures of New Start Transports. I feel that it is helpful and easy to relate to youth when the transport staff have been through and overcome similar obstacles. I find it easy to talk to and relate with the youth. This has helped to put the youth at ease during the transport.
I am trained in CPI's (Crisis Prevention Institute) NCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) program, PCS (Positive Control Systems), First Aid, and CPR.
