New Start Transports - Clinton Jace Hardy, President

Clint HardyI am Clinton Hardy, President and founder of New Start Transports. I am glad that you have made it to our youth transport web page. I am thrilled at the many great opportunities I have had in my life to help so many families and their youth. I want you to know that you are not alone. There are many parents and families experiencing the same or similar struggles and family crisis that you may seem to be in. However, most have not made it as far as you. I acknowledge your effort for coming this far. I admire your courage. I would like to briefly share a little bit of my personal background with you so you understand why I do what I do and why I love it so much.

As I entered my teen years I was convinced that I hated my father and that my mother did not love me. I made many poor choices that led to many severe consequences. I refused to attend school.  When I did attend, I was undergoing disciplinary action from the school district and courts. There were many times I did not come home for days at a time. I had experienced several near death experiences and had no idea where my actions were leading me. Both of my parents were stressed and had no idea what to do. I attended more than one specialty school and wilderness program in my parents' attempt to some how help. Being placed away from home saved my life. I do not know if I would be here today if my parents did not place me somewhere away from home. I was able to learn and gain many life essential tools in these placements. At the time I had a great resentment toward all involved, but now I am thankful for the New Start opportunities I received.  I have now been given a great opportunity to give back by helping many other families and youth in similar situations. I have been a licensed proctor parent for state of Utah where welcomed state custody youth and young adults into my home and worked with them, their families, and court appointed case managers, to help give them the tools and opportunities they needed to change and be successful in their lives. I am constantly working with teens and their problems 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This is not just a job. This is my life and I love it. The more I have helped others the greater life has improved for myself. Unfortunately, I cannot force any youth to apply the tools I teach them unless they choose to, but I am thankful for every opportunity that I am given. I have also served as a staff in several program facilities nation-wide and transported for three previous companies. I am amazed at the help that is available. I decided, along with the rest of my family, to begin our own service, because I wanted to be able to serve more of you directly.  I believe and feel that with our personal experience followed by our professional expertise and training we are the best equipped to help many of you in your difficult situations.

We founded New Start Transports with the pure intent of offering more sincere help, resources, and guidance to parents, teens, adults, and anyone in need.  I personally participated in an outdoor wilderness program that is still operating successfully today.  I also participated in an "adolescent hospital" and "specialty school" that were closed down after my participation in their programs.  With this personal experience of both a reputable program and then one that was not so reputable, I take a strong personal interest in not just the intervention service we offer, but the programs we offer transitioning services to.

Below I have listed of some of the poor choices I was making between the ages of 13 and 19:

In my adult career I have worked in the following areas of the parent, teen, adult, and family help industry:

I hope that my openness to my background as a youth, young adult, and professional will help you gain a better feel for why I am so involved in the parent, teen, adult, and family help industry.  I also hope that the knowledge of where I once was to where I am now will provide additional hope to all who read it.  Please feel free to read my personal story of my troubled teen and early adult choices and experiences.  I hope it will serve as an additional source of education from my perspective.  I look forward to hearing from you. Please contact me through our hotline or email me directly. Good luck! I look forward to helping you and your youth in the near future.
