Craig Beirdneau - Youth Transport Associate - New Start Transports

In addition to working with New Start, I currently work as a counselor at a residential treatment center in Salt Lake City, Utah. When I was 17 years old I was transported by New Start Transports to a program in Utah, from my home in Arizona. I was extremely angry and was ready to fight my way out of the situation, but the two associates from New Start, who were transporting me, kept me calm and made it a smooth transition. Because of their influence I did not waste any time when I was admitted and I made a quick recovery. I believe that every client we transport deserves that same respect and influence.
I am in the process of receiving a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. I plan on obtaining a Masters degree in Sports Psychology and in Church History/Doctrine from Brigham Young University. I served an church mission in Washington State where I was able grow and mold myself into a better man. I am CPR, First Aid certified, and a certified instructor in PCS (Positive Control Systems).
I love working with youth and assisting them in getting their life back on the track. Since my troubled teenage years, I have had a strong desire to help others in any way that I can. I know how stressful and aggravating it is to be transported, which is why I want to make sure that each transport runs smoothly. New Start gave me the hope to succeed and I try to instill that same hope in each client we transport. I do not think that I would be the man that I am today without the influence of New Start and its team members.
